Near the lake you can see brisk and agile weasels and stoats. These small predators are well adapted to their environment and are skilled hunters. Their graceful body, graceful movements and fluffy tail give them a special charm.
Day One
Almaty – Signing Dune , Altyn Emel National Park.
We pick you up in the morning from the place you accommodate in Almaty and leave the city, make couple of stops for shopping on bazar (fruits by season - apples, melon, watermelon) and kurt (traditional Kazakh salted cheese), then we are off to the direction first of Kapshagai city and hand made lake where you will see KazVegas and then after 4 hours of driving we make stop in the local village to get the entrance permits to Altyn Emel National park and have lunch (vegetarian food is available as well).
After check in to the rooms and some rest, continue our trip for another 1 hour to see and climb Signing Dune and explore the area around as long as we want.
On our way we may see some wild life of the desert like horses of Przhevalskiy, gazelle or onaga.
Climb the Dune 150 meters high, take pictures from the top and return back to the car.
Drive to the hotel, take shower, have Kazakh national food for dinner, exchange the impression and pictures.
Total driving distance 312 km = 5,5 hours consists of Almaty – Baschy 263 km = 3,5 hours,
Baschy – Signing Dune and back 96 km = 2 hours
Hiking distance 300 meters = 1 hour

The second day
Continue to explore Altyn Emel National Park, visit to Aktau steppe mountains.
After breakfast we drive 2 hours to the multi colorful steppe mountains of Aktau - geological, paleontological museum under the sky, hike there for 2-3 hours, have lunch on a fresh air and on our way back make couple of more stops to visit and see small location of volcanic creation called Katutau mountains and 600 years old willow. Then drive back to the homestay where shower and hot and tasty local meal will expect us (hotel stay or camping as an option).

Hiking distance 5 km = 3 hours
Total timing of the day including stops, lunch and rest 10 hours
Day 3.
Altyn Emel National Park – Almaty
After breakfast in the morning time we drive back 4 hours to Almaty city, on our way we make stops everywhere we want to take pictures and enjoy the view of flowering meadows (depends on the time of travel)
